3. Methodology 15 3.1 Research Strategy After considering several methodological strategies, the following was chosen as the guiding strategy for the entire study. The figure below (Figure 2) presents the framework of the research: Figure 2: Research Framework. The research began with literature study and desk research on system innovations, stakeholder analysis and marine parks. This resulted in the definition of marine parks, the investigation of processes involved in the realization of marine parks as system innovations, and stakeholder analysis. The main sources of information were books, reports, scientific articles and previous studies, in addition to other sources (e.g. official web sites, on-line announcements, news reports). Results from the literature study and desk research were used to identify the groups of potential stakeholders of marine parks and to create the interview protocol. Pagina 25
