In particular, we needed to know which of the perennial crops we wanted to cultivate could survive in the “chill zone,” which is designated to remain unheated for most of the winter. The two graphics on the left were instrumental for identifying and illustrating which perennials could be located in the chill zone, and which needed to be kept relatively warm throughout the year.
